Oxfordshire-wedding.com was launched in August 2009. Since then the site has been steadily growing in popularity.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help to reduce the carbon footprint of weddings within Oxfordshire. As a couple planning a wedding ourselves we were finding it difficult to find a good range of information on locally based suppliers. While it is easy to find wedding suppliers that service Oxfordshire it is not always easy clear which of these are based locally. We would like to make buying local as easy for couples in Oxfordshire as possible. We also believe that this site will help the wedding businesses and suppliers to find work locally, therefore reducing their travel requirements.
Aside from the carbon footprint aspect the current economic climate has had a substancial impact on some areas of Oxfordshire. It is more important that ever for people to buy local, while the small towns and villages are struggling to pull themselves out of the recession. We are offering couples in Oxfordshire a valuable resource to help them support their local economy.
How we will do it
By putting our readers first we believe that we have produced a site that is clean, simple and easy to use.
